Celebrating Eight Successful Years of First People Recruitment Solutions!

FPR0010 - FPRS July Newsletter - Celebrating – 1

Over the past year, the FPRS team has achieved remarkable success, both collectively and individually, reaching new heights and surpassing personal goals. We are thrilled to highlight some of our biggest achievements and milestones during this exciting journey.

One of our proudest moments was successfully placing the Deputy Secretary of Aboriginal Affairs in the Department of the Premier and Cabinet in New South Wales. This remarkable achievement not only reflects our expertise in recruitment but also underlines our commitment to empowering and representing First Nations professionals in high-profile positions.

As a testament to our growing influence, we are now honoured to be included on recruitment panels for senior executive roles in both the New South Wales and Commonwealth governments. This recognition allows us to compete with global agencies and further advocate for the inclusion of Indigenous talent on influential platforms.

Our Senior Consultant – Talent Acquisition, Marisa, demonstrated exceptional skill and dedication by placing 13 Indigenous liaison officers across Australia for the Federal Court. This significant accomplishment not only enriched the lives of the officers but also contributed to strengthening Indigenous representation in key institutions.

While the past 12 months have presented challenges, they have also been instrumental in showcasing the resilience and adaptability of our team in the current dynamic climate. Government policy shifts, moving away from contract and casual positions toward full-time employment, have posed challenges for the entire recruitment industry. Additionally, with low unemployment rates, the job market itself has become more demanding. However, our team rose to the occasion and proved their ability to overcome obstacles and thrive.

Looking ahead, we are enthusiastic about the opportunities that lie before us in the coming year. Our focus will be on reorienting ourselves towards new possibilities and expanding opportunities for senior First Nations professionals in government, corporate, and not-for-profit sectors. Building on our current successes, we aim to create even more avenues for talented individuals, ensuring their representation at decision-making levels and at the board table.

As we continue to align with the government’s strategy of emphasising full-time employment opportunities, we will also work towards consolidating our contingent contracting business. This approach enables us to contribute to the larger mission of promoting stable and long-term career prospects for talent.

We are immensely proud of our team’s achievements and resilience throughout the past year. Together, we celebrate eight years of First People Recruitment Solutions, and we eagerly look forward to embarking on new ventures, fostering diversity, and making a lasting impact in the recruitment industry and beyond. Thank you to our clients, partners, and talented professionals for being a part of this incredible journey. Here’s to a future filled with even greater success and meaningful opportunities!
